A Computerized Database and Card Registration for the Public
(Automated Registration Services: ARS)

Objectives

  1. To maintain the stability and accuracy of the Automated Registration Services on a permanent basis.
  2. To provide accurate Automated Registration Services for the public to keep pace with rapid growth of society during the period of globalization.
  3. To issue standard Registration Card, which will be recognized by all sectors of Thai society, inside 15 minutes.
  4. To prevent and suppress illegal document registration and forgeries.
  5. To organize accurate lists of eligible voters of all levels to keep pace with the development of Thai society.

Tasks/Projects to be operated

  1. To organize a computerized document and card registration service for the public, according to the resolution of the Cabinet dated 27 June 1995, period 1 (covers 9 Regional Registration Centers, 76 Provincial Registration Offices and 200 District Offices and Local Administration Offices).
  2. To organize a computerized document and card registration service for the public, according to the resolution of the Cabinet dated 27 June 1995, period 2 (covers 845 local District Offices and Local Administration Offices).
  3. To coordinate the efforts of the Department of Local Administration and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in providing a computerized document and card registration service for the public at District Offices nationwide, including Royal Thai Embassies and Royal Thai Consulates located worldwide.
  4. To develop new service systems to keep pace with ongoing changes in Thai society.
  5. To coordinate government agencies for the maximum development of One-Stop Services (OSS) for the public.
  6. To organize computer training courses for the public, including public service operators at all levels and the Central and Regional Administration Offices.
  7. To follow-up and evaluate operation results and communication processes by Central and Regional Administration Offices.
  8. To develop, improve and evaluate database communication processes provided to the public.
  9. To constantly maintain and service the process of evaluation and database communication to be more efficient.
