Objectives
- To organize and provide necessary information, under the responsibility of the Department of Local Administration, to local and overseas agencies and users via the Internet, where information can be freely accessed and utilized by the public.
- To distribute news and information regarding the Department of Local Administration to the public, both locally and overseas, via the Internet.
- To provide opportunities for local and overseas Internet users to enter into correspondence and to express ideas and opinions, as well as to seek and obtain advice and assistance on various issues.
- To serve as an information center, where necessary information can be accessed and utilized by the Department of Local Administration via the Internet.
- To provide information services to the public via the Internet and to accommodate the needs of Internet users who require essential information from the Department of Local Administration.
Tasks/Projects to be carried out
- To develop and provide a DOLA Web Site via the Internet (1 location), where information can be accessed and utilized by the public.
- To develop DOLA Web Sites via the Internet (10 locations), where information can be constantly exchanged between divisions of Regional Administration Office under the Department of Local Administration through the MIS system.
- To constantly develop, improve and upgrade DOLA Web Sites (11 locations) to be more effective.
- To evaluate and expand the capability of Web Sites to accommodate needs.
- To develop and improve public service to accommodate social needs by linking the public Internet system to the DOLA Internet system (Extranet).
