Beast of Burden Registration
Definition
A "Beast of Burden" means elephants, horses, cattle, buffaloes, mules, or donkeys subject to registration according to the Beast of Burden Act 1939. Therefore, "Beasts of Burden" refers to only 6 types of animals.Objectives

According to the Beast of Burden Act 1939, Section 8, animals to be registered are as follows:Registrar for Beasts of Burden
Means a Chief District Officer or an authorized representative, acting for the Chief District Officer, or a Deputy District Chief Officer, or a local Registrar who has been appointed to register beasts of burden according to the Beasts of Burden Act.Beast of Burden Registration
A local Registrar and the owner of the beast are responsible for the Beast of Burden Registration.Transferring Ownership of Beasts of Burden
It is duty of the transferor and transferee, or their authorized representatives to file for transferring the ownership of beasts of burden to the local Registrar and bring in the registration documents.Transferring ownership of beasts of burden as specified in case of inheritance
It is the duty of the transferor and transferee, or their authorized representatives, to file for transferring the ownership of beasts of burden. The local Registrar will record information and will then issue a public announcement regarding the ownership of the beasts of burden on behalf of any heirs. The announcement shall be valid for 30 days.To mortgage beasts of burden
Persons who mortgage a beast of burden and persons to whom a mortgage is given, or their authorized representatives, are required to present the registration document of the beast which is mortgaged to a local registrar where the beast is registered. The Registrar will review the information before registering the mortgage. A Service fee is required.Transferring beasts of burden and the registration write-off
Upon transferring a beast of burden to another district, other than for renting, hire-purchasing, buying, borrowing, or temporary relocation, the owner of beast of burden, or his/her authorized representative, is required to file a request together with the registration document to the local registrar within 30 days of the date of transferring the beast.Exporting beasts of burden from the Kingdom and the registration write-off
A person who is exporting a beast of burden is required to present the registration document, to the local Registrar for review and to stamp on the back of the form (in Thai) as follows: "Exported to another country on such and date, month and year". The signature of the Registrar and the date of signing are required.Regulations regarding Beast of Burden Registration
