Notification of Death


Regulations

When a person dies, the house owner or the person who found the corpse is required to notify the local registrar within 24 hours

Required Documents

  1. The House Registration Certificate (House Owner's Copy), where the name of the deceased is registered (if available).
  2. Death Certification from the hospital (if available).
  3. The Identification Card of the person notifying the death.

Procedures

  1. The person notifying the death is required to submit documents and evidence to the Registrar for review and to record his/her name on the Death Certificate.
  2. The name of deceased will be written off from the House Registration Certificate. The word "Deceased" (in Thai) will be stamped in red ink at the box where the name of the deceased is registered.
  3. The Death Certificate (Section 1), as well as the House Registration Certificate and the Identification Card, will be returned to the person notifying the death.
