Moving to a new address
Regulations
The house owner is required to notify the District Office within 15 days if someone moves into the house.
Required Documents
- The House Registration Certificate (House Owner's Copy).
- Identification Card.
- A Letter of Authorization from the house owner (if available).
- The Identification Card of a person authorized by the house owner.
- Certificate of Relocation (Thor. Ror. 6 Form), sections 1 and 2.
Procedures
- Submit documents and evidence to the local Registrar of the district where the person will be moving in.
- The Registrar will review all documents regarding the relocation to a new address, adding the name to the House Registration Certificate and House Registration Certificate (house owner's copy), to ensure the information is correct and accurate before returning documents to the applicant.
Moving Out
Regulations
The house owner is required to notify the District Office within 15 days, if someone moves out of the house.
Required Documents
- House Registration Certificate (original copy).
- Identification Card of the house owner.
- A Letter of Authorization from the house owner (if available).
- The Identification Card of the person authorized by the house owner (upon being authorized).
- The Identification Card of the person relocating. A person who is relocating oneself can act as the house owner in filing for relocation.
Procedures
- The person must file for relocation with the local Registrar of the district where the House Registration Certificate is registered. (If the house owner is unable to file for relocation, the relocating person can act as the house owner upon filing for relocation).
